Captus

Captus is a pretty unique image capturing tool. It's main purpose lies in the editing features it offers after capturing the image.

Like most similar programs, you can choose if you want to capture the entire screen, only the active screen, select a section of your screen, or just one specific color. Similarly, you can also send your photo to the clipboard, a preview, or save it to your hard drive.

However, where Captus stands out above the rest of the similar programs, is in its editing options. Once you have your picture, you can use all sorts of photo editing tools and can apply a bunch of different effects.

Captus is a strange application because it combines two functions that are normally separate - screen capture and image editing - into one seamless program.
